Want to serve?
There are many ways to get involved! Some opportunities are weekly while others are on a less frequent basis.
Check out our list below for some ways or call/text us to discuss your ideas!
Throughout the year, Crossroads offers a one-session New Volunteer Orientation for anyone interested in serving in any role, from sorting material donations to peer counseling or taking calls at our receptionist desk. Bilingual volunteers are especially needed!
*NEW* Virtual Volunteers: Chat Agents needed to chat online with our clients during non-business hours. Nothing is worse for a visitor than not being able to find what they are looking for. The visitor may simply need to ask a quick question, or they may need an encouraging word. Our dedicated chat agents will be fully trained in the scope of our services to assist and guide our visitors.
This person will monitor and chat with the visitors on our client website to ensure no question is missed. Volunteer will be required to download the tawk.to app on their smartphone and commit to a recurring block of time on a weekly basis. Minimum age is 18.
Peer Counseling/Parenting Coaches: Women and men alike are needed to serve new parents, and to come alongside those in pregnancy-related crisis on a weekly basis. Parenting Coaches and Instructors may serve in a group capacity or one-on-one. Bilingual volunteers are especially needed. Minimum age is 18.
Baby Boutique: Willing hands and hearts are needed to sort donations of new and gently used material items and coordinate “diaper drives”, which benefit the moms and dads we serve.
Office & Event Support: Volunteers of all ages and abilities are need to assist with events and mailings, and to help clean and maintain our facilities.
Social Media - Volunteers to create content for our social pages are needed. Oversight and guidance will be provided.
Church Liaisons – These volunteers increase awareness of Crossroads services and needs in their own congregation, often by coordinating support-raising events such as our Baby Bottle Boomerang. Liaisons may also help identify and train life disciples in their church who will provide compassionate care and help assimilate Crossroads moms and families into their church community. Some of our local churches also host Embrace Grace groups for expectant young moms.
Medical Team – Doctors, registered nurses and sonographers who share our mission focus are needed to serve clients, to serve at Crossroads, and to serve in advisory roles.
Depending on the role you fill, you may be required to attend a Training Day after Orientation.
No time to volunteer in this season of life? Here are some other ways to support life:
Prayer Partners – We need friends who will commit to pray regularly for the needs of the center, our staff and those we serve.
Financial Partners – Crossroads Ministry Partners are needed to “fuel” our free services and keep our lights on! Opportunities include one-time gifts of cash or stock, monthly giving and/or hosting dessert nights to introduce Crossroads to others.
